SR 528 - 55th Dr NE Vic to 83rd Ave NE Vic - Paving & ADA Compliance - Complete November 2017

Overview
On SR 528 between 55th Drive Northeast and 83rd Avenue Northeast in Marysville, we completed grinding, repaving and striping to rehabilitate about 1.76 miles of the highway. We also rebuilt 12 pedestrian ramps to provide a smoother transition between sidewalks and crosswalks, and added 11 new pedestrian ramps along SR 528.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
Repaving the highway removed ruts and cracks, where water can puddle and reduce traction for vehicles.

Rebuilding 12 pedestrian ramps and adding 11 new ramps smooths the transition between the sidewalk and road level, making it easier for pedestrians and people who use wheelchairs or walkers to cross streets.
Dollar Sign Glyph Economic Incentive
Repaving preserves this section of highway and extends its lifespan by protecting the roadway’s supporting layers underneath the driving surface. Repaving also removes cracks and potholes, which reduces annual maintenance costs and the possibility of emergency repairs.
