Overview
WSDOT worked with the University of Washington and Cascadia Community College to build a new entrance to the south side of the Bothell campus. We also improved State Route 522 (Bothell Way NE) from the I-405 interchange to Kaysner Way in Bothell.

The project included a new south entrance to the UW Bothell and Cascadia Community College campus on SR 522 with a signal and an exclusive exit lane to the campus at the southbound I-405 to westbound SR 522 off-ramp and a new bridge for the I-405 off-ramps constructed over the campus access street.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
The project helps smooth the curve on eastbound SR 522, improves the weave at the I-405/ SR 522/ NE 195th Street merge, and eliminates the short opposite-direction travel lane between Brackett's Landing and westbound SR 522.
Car GlyphRelieves Congestion
The project eases congestion at the north Beardslee Boulevard entrance to the campus and provides transit with easier access to the north campus stop by reducing number of vehicles using that entrance.
