WSDOT contractor crews repaved a section of SR 518 from 24th Avenue S. to the I-5 interchange after the pavement showed signs of wear.
The deep wheel ruts and cracked pavement are now gone, replaced with new pavement which will extend the life of the highway as well as give drivers a smoother and safer trip.
The ramps in the project area were also repaved for a smoother transition from one highway to another.
The busy stretch of highway and ramps have new pavement, giving drivers a smoother and safer trip.
| Economic Incentive
New pavement will cut down on the cost of maintenance by reducing the risk of costly emergency work to fill potholes and repair cracks.
