Overview
This project constructed a noise wall along the south side of State Route 500, just east of NE 162nd Avenue. The noise wall is approximately 1,000 feet long and similar to other noise walls along the SR 500.
 | Protects Environment
Noise walls are designed to provide decibel reduction in average background traffic noise for the residences located directly behind the wall. This noise wall will help to reduce noise for a housing development adjacent to SR 500.

Partnerships & Cooperation
Your thoughts and opinions are important to us. WSDOT continually informed the public of the project status through the Web page and the local media.
At WSDOT, we seek to address the concerns of the tribal nations using the process outlined in Section 106 of The National Historic Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan.
