Overview
The State Route 305 widening project between Hostmark Street and Bond Road added lanes with peak hour high occupancy vehicle (HOV) designation, improved five intersections and installed bike lanes.
 | Improves Safety
The project added sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and turning lanes at five intersections.
|
 | Relieves Congestion
The use of HOV lanes helps traffic flow during peak commuting hours. Emergency vehicles are able to respond to incidents much more quickly due to the additional lanes.
|
 | Protects Environment
Dogfish Creek was realigned as part of this project, providing better salmon passage.
The SR 305 Bond Road Environmental Assessment (EA) (pdf 2683 kb) was completed and the Federal Highway Administration issued a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) (pdf 2.1 mb) in May 2005.
