Overview
WSDOT upgraded the existing barrier between traffic and pedestrians, the barrier between the sidewalk and traffic, and the rail on the outside of the sidewalk.
The project was complete in December 2010.

Strengthened barrier reduces the risk of crossover collisions.
New barriers and railings provided added protection for pedestrians and bicylists.
