SR 24 - SR 241 to Cold Creek Rd - Add Passing Lanes - Complete August 2008

Overview
This project constructed a passing lane uphill in both directions on SR 24 between SR 241 and Cold Creek Road.

This section of SR 24 is traveled daily by Hanford commuters and experiences heavy truck traffic during harvest seasons. Traffic now moves freely over the grade without any congestion, relieving the frustration of Hanford commuters having to wait behind slow moving trucks climbing the grade. These new passing lanes will reduce the number of accidents along this route and provide a safer road for motorists.
