SR 231 - Spokane River Bridge Deck Rehabilitation - Complete August 2008

Overview

This Structure Preservation Program Project rehabilitated the deteriorating bridge deck on the SR 231 Spokane River Bridge on the Lincoln/Stevens County line.

This bridge was built in 1950. The existing bridge deck had deteriorated. Deck repair was required to preserve the structure.

The bridge deck was repaired by removing the bad concrete sections and filling with replacement concrete. A modified concrete overlay was also used.
