- The contractor is Poe Asphalt Paving of Clarkston, Wa. Their construction bid was $4,235,606.
- Some work remains. Will resume Spring 2013.
SR 21 with be resurfacing with hot mix asphalt. In addition, a culvert carrying Curlew Creek under the highway will be replaced.
Why is WSDOT
resurfacing SR 21?
Preserves pavement on SR 21 by milling (grinding down) and repaving the highway surface.
The End Result
Smoother pavement and a "fish friendly" Curlew Creek culvert under the highway.
Project Benefits
Paving extends the roadway life and the new culvert provides improved wildlfe habitat.
What is the project timeline?
Active construction will be underway and completed this season.
Financial Information
Project signage will reflect the cost of construction engineering, project bid award and sales tax.
