SR 20 - Troxell Road Vicinity to Cornet Bay Vicinity - Complete August 2007

Overview
We widened the lanes and shoulders along SR 20 north of Oak harbor on Whidbey Island. Leveling a hill and improving an intersection increased motorists’ sight distance and will help reduce the number of collisions. New right and left turn lanes will help prevent rear-end and run off the road collisions.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
There have been 51 collisions in this area in the last five years; 42 were rear-end collisions. Widening shoulders, adding turn lanes, improving sight distance for drivers will help reduce the number and severity of collisions.
