Overview
This project relocated the tollbooths to a side-by-side configuration to allow faster, more efficient processing of vehicles and improved on-time performance.
 | Improves Safety
Reducing backups on SR 20 will reduce rear-end collisions for drivers waiting to board the ferry as well as drivers passing by the terminal.
|
 | Relieves Congestion
Ticket agents are now able to process 42 more vehicles per hour (171 total). The new tollbooth configuration will reduce backups on SR 20 leading to the terminal and provides the flexibility for separate lines for reservation holders and stand-by passengers.
