TEAL secured at bridge site. During the evening hours on Tuesday, October 3, crews successfully moored the TEAL under the bridge's west side span. This successful attempt followed a previous mooring attempt on Friday, September 29, during which time one of four winch anchor lines broke during tension tests. Contractor Tacoma Narrows Constructors (TNC) has since replaced the winch line and moved forward with construction activities. TNC has an aggressive lift schedule planned for the TEAL's 15 deck sections, and this week two deck sections are expected to be lifted into place. Mariners are advised to watch the mariner's update for changing restrictions (see mariner's daily update).
