Overview
WSDOT and Tri-State Construction added a southbound right turn lane and a northbound left turn lane on SR 169 at S. 288th Street. We also added a left turn lane on eastbound S. 288th Street. The new turn lanes will reduce the likelihood of collisions and will keep traffic moving.
 | Improves Safety
New turn lanes will reduce the risk of accidents. New street lighting will improve visibility.
|
 | Relieves Congestion
Turn lanes help keep traffic moving by eliminating backups behind turning vehicles.
|

Partnerships & Cooperation
In a May 12, 2005, letter we initiated Section 106 Consultation with the Snoqualmie, Muckleshoot, and Yakama tribes. After conducting research on cultural resources in the areas, we drafted a report and sent it to each of the tribes for their review and comment. After a 30-day comment periode WSDOT forwarded the report to the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) who concurred with the findings of the report.
