Overview
The project provides a safer, smoother-flowing corridor with increased visibility and turning-sight distance.
 | Improves Safety
Flattened slopes decrease the severity of collisions where vehicles leave the roadway. Left turn lanes at the Phillips Road intersection and a two-way left turn lane from Estonian Court to Brasch also help reduce collisions.
Pedestrian safety improvements include railing on the SR 16 overpass and 6-foot-wide shoulders in the school zone from Estonian Court to Brasch.

 | Protects Environment
A new stormwater treatment facility and vegetated filter strips removes pollutants from highway stormwater runoff.
