SR 160 - SR 16 to Long Lake Road - Complete October 2009

The SR 160 from SR 16 to Long Lake Road features flattened slopes and left-hand turn lanes.


The project adds 6-foot-wide shoulders in the school zone from Estonian Court to Brasch to improve pedestrian safety.

The project provides a safer, smoother-flowing corridor with increased visibility and turning-sight distance.

Cross GlyphImproves Safety
Flattened slopes decrease the severity of collisions where vehicles leave the roadway.
Left turn lanes at the Phillips Road intersection and a two-way left turn lane from Estonian Court to Brasch also help reduce collisions.

Pedestrian safety improvements include railing on the SR 16 overpass and 6-foot-wide shoulders in the school zone from Estonian Court to Brasch.
Leaf Glyph Protects Environment
A new stormwater treatment facility and vegetated filter strips removes pollutants from highway stormwater runoff.
