Overview
This project made safety improvements designed to reduce the severity and frequency of collisions. One segment of SR 112 was previously identified as a high accident corridor and two locations were deemed high accident locations.

Crews installed new advanced signing and warning lights, new guardrail, removed of roadside hazards, flattened slopes and relocated utilities.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of motorists while crews worked to make these safety improvements.

Petersen Brothers, Inc. was the contractor on the project. Work was completed between May 2008 and October 2008.

This project is funded through the following sources:

  • 2005 Transportation Partnership Fund (TPA Funding) - $1,800,000
  • Existing Funds - $8,886,393
  • Total Funding Available From All Sources - $10,686,393
