Overview
Structural steel components of the bridge were showing signs of rust and corrosion.

Crews removed rust and corrosion and applied a fresh coat of paint to seal the structural steel parts of the bridge.  Painting the metal parts of the bridge helps to preserve its structural integrity and extend its useful life.

Work started on June 30 and is was complete in September 2008.

The bridge was last painted in 1985.
