Overview
This project made safety improvements at 28 locations in Grays Harbor and Jefferson counties on US 101, SR 8, and SR 109 where serious collisions occurred.
 | Improves Safety
A statewide analysis of collisions resulted in major concerns about the number and severity of collisions on rural highways.
In the 2005 legislative session, funding was allocated to make safety improvements on state highways in Grays Harbor, west Jefferson and Clallam counties.
Safety improvements included installing new guardrail, removing roadside hazards and flattening slopes.
