Overview
Imperium Renewables, a private biodiesel manufacturer, replaced the rail connection between the Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad’s main line track and the new biodiesel production facility located on port property. The rail was replaced so it could safely accommodate more frequent rail traffic and heavier rail cars.
Project funds were used to by the Port of Grays Harbor to acquire the tracks from Imperium Renewables so they could be placed under public ownership.
