Overview
The new set of crossovers tracks at Titlow, south of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, allows faster Amtrak trains to move around slower freight trains at speeds up to 60 mph.
Before this project was completed in June 2005, passenger trains were delayed as long as 15 minutes while they waited for freight trains to pass in this area.

This project was funded through the following sources:
- 2003 Legislative Transportation Package (New & Used Vehicle Sales Tax) - $3.97 million
