US 97 - Centerville Rd to Bickleton Rd and Satus Pass - Paving - Complete September 2009

Overview
The asphalt pavement on this portion of US 97 deteriorated due to age and normal wear. Resurfacing the highway protects the existing pavement from further damage and extends the life of the roadway.

In February 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. WSDOT stood ready to translate the federal recovery funding into job creation and highway improvements, including this roadway preservation project.
