- Weekly Traffic and Construction Update
- This project was awarded to Acme Concrete Paving Inc. of Spokane with a construction bid of $14,949,578.
- On winter suspension. Work should resume later this month.
This project will fully reconstruct I-90, adding a third lane in each direction and converting the surface to Portland Cement Concrete Pavement.
Why is WSDOT
Rebuilding I-90?
Increased traffic volume on I-90 has neccessitated the addition of one lane in each direction.
The End Result
A six-lane freeway with a more durable concrete surface.
Project Benefits
Reduced congestion and a longer-lasting pavement surface.
What is the project timeline?
The contractor will resume work in April 2012. The project should be complete later in the spring of 2012.
