Overview
WSDOT contractor crews replaced a damaged 114-foot bridge girder on the eastbound I-90 Front Street overpass in Issaquah.

The girder was damaged when an over-height garbage truck collided with the overpass in March 2015.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
While the damaged bridge girder did not pose a risk to drivers, the overpass would eventually deteriorate to a state where it would be unsafe for vehicles to go on or under the bridge.

Replacing the damaged bridge girder returned the overpass to its original strength and eliminated a visual distraction to drivers in Issaquah.

Partnerships & Cooperation
WSDOT coordinated the road closure schedule and worked closely with the city of Issaquah.
