Overview
Using 2005 Transportation Partnership (TPA) funds, we upgraded 13 bridges on Interstate 90 between the Eastgate Park and Ride and Front Street.
Crews widened cross beams, installed girder supports, steel column jackets, and walls to reinforce the bridges. These upgrades help keep people safe by improving the integrity and performance of the bridges in the event of an earthquake.
 | Improves Safety
Bringing these bridges to current earthquake standards reduces the chance of failure during a significant earthquake.
|
 | Protects Environment
Crews filtered storm water runoff during construction.

We appreciate the patience and cooperation of drivers and bicyclists while crews worked underneath the bridges.
