I-5 - E. Fork Lewis River to Todd Road Vicinity - Paving and Safety - Complete June, 2013

Overview
This project replaced deteriorating pavement and broken concrete panels on both directions of I-5 between the East Fork Lewis River Bridge (milepost 18.37) and the vicinity of Todd Road (milepost 26.47).

Crews resurfaced the mainline interstate, as well as interchange ramps and several local roads. Crews also upgraded safety features along I-5 such as guardrail, signs and luminaries, and built new sidewalks beneath the I-5 overpasses in Woodland.

Partnerships & Cooperation
At WSDOT we seek to address the concerns of the tribal nations using the process outlined in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan. This project did not impact any tribal resources since the work was entirely above ground on existing WSDOT right of way. For more information visit our WSDOT Tribal Liaison website.

WSDOT makes every effort to assess and minimize environmental impacts from our projects. A detailed analysis of the project’s environmental impacts was completed as part of the environmental documentation and environmental permitting processes. For environmental information specific to this project, please contact Barb Aberle at (360) 905-2186, or e-mail AberleB@wsdot.wa.gov
