I-5 - 52nd Ave W to SR 526 - NB paving - Complete September 2009

Overview
We repaved more than nine miles of northbound I-5 from 52nd Avenue W in Lynnwood to SR 526 just south of Everett, and repaved one mile of SR 525 just north of Lynnwood. We also repaved the on- and off-ramps at 44th Avenue West, SR 525, I-405 and SR 526.

New pavement and signing will improve driver safety by eliminating cracks, potholes and rough patches, and will provide a smooth driving surface.

Repaving the highway will extend the lifespan of the pavement and will reduce costly and inconvenient repairs.

Partnerships & Cooperation
January 2009 - We advertised this project for competitive bidding.

Feb. 23, 2009- We awarded the contract to Granite Northwest, who submitted the most competive bid.

June 2009 - We began construction.

September 2009 - We completed construction.
