Overview
The median barrier on I-5 between 47th Avenue SW and S 48th Street had been in place for decades and was deteriorating.

This project replaced 2,000 individual sections of concrete median barrier, each weighing about 5,000 pounds.

Crews started construction in early June 2008 and completed the project in July 2008.
