I-5 - 36th Street to Slater Road Pavement Repairs - Complete August 2008

Project Status - Complete
Cars drive I-5 in Bellingham

Overview
We repaved four I-5 ramps at Lakeway Drive and Iowa Street and repaired and replaced more than 200 concrete panels on I-5 from Samish Way to Sunset Drive in Bellingham and near Ferndale, and smoothed rough transitions on and off highway bridges. This project was completed in summer 2008.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
Repairing and replacing cracked concrete panels makes the road smoother and safer to better meet the needs of the nearly 80,000 drivers who use it every day. Repaving of I-5 and on-ramps and exits extends the useful life span and makes the road safer for drivers.
