Crews near completion of a 250 x 50 foot detention vault on the west side of I-405 near NE 116th Street in Kirkland. When completed, the new vault will be covered with topsoil, and will temporarily store runoff during heavy rains, and regulate stormwater flows into area creeks.
The bridge abutments (concrete wall in the foreground and background) for a section of the new, widened NE 116th bridge were recently completed. The new girders will be set on top of the abutments in late July.
Crews recently completed pouring footings for a noise wall on the west side of I-405, between NE 97th Street and NE 100th Street pedestrian overpass. Crews will begin setting noise wall panels in late July.
