Grind centerline rumble strips along 170 miles of state highway.
This project installed rumble strips on the following highway sections:
SR 26/US 395 to Colfax (MP 61-133)
SR 27/Pullman to Spokane Valley (MP 0-82)
SR 127/Snake River to Dusty (MP 10-27)

Centerline rumble strips are a proven low-cost method of dramatically reducing cross-over collisions by alerting inattentive drivers when they are crossing into oncoming traffic.

Partnerships & Cooperation
WSDOT addresses the concerns of tribal nations using the process outlined in Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan.
