This roadway preservation projects seals 105 miles of roadway in the following sections:
SR 23/Steptoe to Sprague (MP 0-44)
SR 23/Sprague to Lord’s Creek (MP 44-54)
SR 231/Sprague to US 2 @ Reardan (MP 0-28)
SR 231/Reardan to Fisher Road (MP 31-40)
SR 902/Interstate 90 to Lakeland Village (MP 0-4)
SR 904/Tyler to Cheney (MP 0-9)
Why is WSDOT
chip sealing these sections of highways?
The pavement through these sections is deteriorating and was scheduled for surface restoration before the underlying road structure is damaged.
The End Result
A fresh layer of Bituminous Surface Treatment that extends the usable life of the underlying roadway.

This project will be built and completed during the 2013 construction season.
