Desert Aire Airport Improvements - Complete September 2009

Project Status - Complete


Overview
Grant County Airport District No. 1 completed a taxiway reconstruction project with funding from WSDOT Aviation. This project installed and compact gravel along the taxiway shoulders to preserve the pavement by protecting the asphalt edge and also provides a safety feature for aircraft that may happen to go off of the paved surface.

The End Result

The project will install and compact 2” depth x 10’ width of ¾ - 1” minus gravel along the taxiway shoulders.
