Crews lower the oil/water separator for the pond near the Federal Way city limits.
As water from the roadway drains through the bottom of the pond the oil/water separator will filter out the oil. The oil adheres to the side of the box and stays trapped under the surface of the pond.
Crews remove the temporary casing that allowed them to dig a space for the oil/water separator. Next they will cover the box with dirt and construct other filtration features above ground.
