Washington Transportation Plan Update 2007 - 2026
The public comment period for the WTP officially ended on Sept. 1.
The final update was adopted by the Washington Transportation Commission on November 14, 2006. For more information about the commission, please visit their website. See the status of the update process (pdf 62 kb).
The update of Washington's long range transportation plan began in 2004. Preliminary findings from the WTP helped secure significant funding for projects and programs statewide in 2005. At these events you will learn about this progress to address the challenges of improving our transportation system, including: preservation, safety, Travel time reliability for people and freight, environmental enhancements, and economic growth. Together, these investments are moving Washington's economy forward and enhancing global competitiveness and quality of life.
Washington State Transportation Commissioners will be available to respond to your comments and questions, in addition to representatives from: Regional Transportation Planning Organizations, the Washington State Department of Transportation and Washington's Scenic Byway Organizations.
