SR 520 Legislative Workgroup Final Recommendations Report The SR 520 Legislative Workgroup's final recommendations report is now available. |
In order to help fund a new, safer SR 520 floating bridge, Gov. Gregoire and the Washington State Legislature approved ESHB 2211 during the 2009 legislative session. This bill authorizes variable tolling on the SR 520 corridor to begin in fall of 2010.
The bill also created the SR 520 Legislative Workgroup, a group of legislators and transportation officials that will present recommendations on financing and a westside design for the SR 520 corridor to the Governor and Legislature by Jan. 1, 2010.
A westside subgroup of the workgroup will be created to review existing information regarding westside design options being considered in the supplemental draft environmental impact statement.
