Interstate 5
Bellingham to Blaine: I-5 traffic cameras
We will install 15.5 miles of new fiber optic cable, 21 new traffic cameras and 14 traffic data stations between Bellingham and Blaine.
Bellingham: I-5 - Downtown Bellingham On/Off Ramps
We will improve four I-5 on-ramps in Bellingham. Work is temporarily on hold for the winter and will start again in the spring. Crews have the Samish Ramp to complete.
Bellingham: I-5, Joe Leary Slough to Nulle Road vicinity - Paving
We will repave northbound I-5 from Joe Leary Slough in Skagit County (milepost 231.8) to Nulle Road in Whatcom County (milepost 243.9). We will also pave all on- and off-ramps in both the north- and southbound directions of I-5 within the project limits. Work is temporarily on hold for the winter and will start again next summer. Remaining work includes paving the southbound ramps.

State Route 9
Arlington: SR 9 - SR 531/172nd St NE intersection improvements
We will widen SR 9 and SR 531 in the vicinity of the intersection and build a roundabout to improve safety and relieve congestion. The project also includes underground utility work in partnership with the city of Arlington.
Arlington: SR 9 - Pilchuck Creek bridge replacement
We will replace the narrow, single-lane bridge with a wider, two-lane bridge and realign the highway to improve safety for drivers.
Acme: NP Creek culvert replacement
We will replace the existing culvert (at milepost 67) with a box culvert to improve fish passage.
Bellingham, Lynden, Sumas: SR 9 and SR 539 traffic cameras
We will install new fiber optic cable, 1 traffic camera and 1 traffic data station on SR 9 in Sumas. And, we will install new fiber optic cable, 12 traffic cameras, 2 weather stations and 1 variable message sign on SR 539 between Bellingham and Lynden.

State Route 11
Bellingham: SR 11 - Padden Creek - Fish Barrier Removal
We will install a fish-passable culvert underneath Fairhaven Parkway (SR 11) in the vicinity of 20th Street for Padden Creek.

State Route 20
Rainy Pass: SR 20, Barrier Creek culvert replacement
We will replace the damaged twin culverts at Barrier Creek with one culvert to stop the road from settling and improve drainage. Barrier creek is several miles west of Rainy Pass on the North Cascades Highway. The project is temporarily suspended for the winter and will start again in the spring. Remaining work includes the final asphalt overlay.
Concrete: SR 20, Challenger Road vicinity unstable slope
We will scale loose rocks off the hillside above SR 20 to help prevent rocks from falling into the ditch and onto the highway.
Rockport: SR 20, Skagit River restoration
We will make improvements to SR 20 between Rockport and Marblemount to protect the highway from the Skagit River.
Coupeville: SR 20, Morris Road to Jacobs Road safety improvements
We will make safety improvements along highway 20 between mileposts 19 and 20 to reduce the risk of collisions and improve access to the solid waste complex.

We will replace the Fortson Creek culvert to improve fish passage.

Stanwood: SR 532, Davis Slough Bridge replacement
We will replace the Davis Slough Bridge and raise and widen the highway to the west of the bridge.

State Route 539
Bellingham, Lynden, Sumas: SR 9 and SR 539 traffic cameras
We will install new fiber optic cable, 1 traffic camera and 1 traffic data station on SR 9 in Sumas. And, we will install new fiber optic cable, 12 traffic cameras, 2 weather stations and 1 variable message sign on SR 539 between Bellingham and Lynden.
Lynden: SR 539, Lynden-Aldergrove Port of Entry improvement
We will add one northbound lane and widen the shoulder on SR 539 between H Street and the border. We will also add a dedicated truck lane near the border to connect with new border facilities.

Glacier: SR 542, Fossil Creek to Wells Creek Road paving
We will repave Mount Baker Highway between Fossil Creek (milepost 38.65) and Wells Creek Road (milepost 41.53).
Glacier: SR 542, Hedrick Creek culvert replacement
We will replace the existing box culvert with a bridge to improve fish passage.
