Interstate 5
Stanwood: I-5 - SR 532 to Hill Ditch Bridge
We will extend the life of the highway by replacing broken concrete panels, grinding the highway smooth and tying concrete panels together on sections of the northbound lanes on I-5 from SR 532 to Hill Ditch Bridge.
Driver Information: Drivers can expect lane closures, slowdowns and minor delays during construction. This section of I-5 has three lanes. During the day, crews will close one lane and at night they will close two lanes.

Bellingham, Blaine and Mt. Vernon: I-5 - Whatcom County Drainage and Water Quality Improvement
We will build stormwater treatment facilities to treat and clean water running off I-5 and into local streams. This project benefits the environment by providing better storage and treatment for rain water runoff, helping to improve stream water for the fish and wildlife population in the area. Funding for this project is provided by the 2005 Transportation Partnership Funding Package.

Burlington: I-5 - West View School Noise Wall
We will build a noise wall in front of the West View Elementary School along Interstate 5 in Burlington.
Driver Information: This work will be done off of the roadway and will not impact traffic on I-5.

Bellingham: I-5 - Downtown Bellingham On/Off Ramps
We will lengethen the acceleration lane at the northbound Iowa Street on-ramp; lengethen the acceleration lane at the southbound Sunset Drive on-ramp; lengethen the acceleration lane at the northbound Samish Way on-ramp; lengethen the acceleration lane at the southbound Lakeway Drive on-ramp; and restirct left turns at the Ohio/King street intersection.

Blaine: I-5, Blaine exit interchange improvements
We will improve the I-5, D Street interchange in Blaine. We will build two roundabouts, one at each on-/off-ramp intersection, to improve safety and relieve congestion. We will also make modifications to I-5 itself, near the interchange, to help slow drivers down as they approach the border.

North of Sedro-Woolley: SR 9 - Prairie Road to Thunder Creek Realignment and Widening
We will realign and widen the highway, realign the Prairie Road and Martin Road intersections and rebuild one railroad intersection.

State Route 11
Burlington: SR 11 - I-5 Interchange, Josh Wilson Road Realignment
We will rebuild the northbound I-5 on- and off-ramps at the SR 11 interchange, realign the northbound I-5 on- and off-ramp intersection and the Old Highway 99 intersections, and build a roundabout at the I-5 on- and off-ramp and Old Highway 99 intersection. We will also build a roundabout at the southbound I-5 on- and off-ramp intersection. These improvements will improve safety for drivers. Funding for this project is provided by the 2005 Transportation Partnership Funding Package.

Burlington: SR 20 - Fredonia to I-5 Widening
We improved approximately five miles of SR 20 from the intersection of SR 536 to Interstate 5. SR 20 was upgraded to a four-lane divided highway by constructing two new lanes to the south of the existing highway. In addition, the on ramps and exits at the SR 20/I-5 interchange were improved. As of August 2009, the project is substantially complete and the new lanes are open to traffic.
Estimated Total Project Cost: $118.2 million - Funding is from the 2003 Transportation Funding Package.

Deception Pass: SR 20 - Quiet Cove Road to SR 20 Spur Safety Improvements
We will improve safety and traffic flow along State Route 20, between Sharpes Corner and Meadow Creek. Specifically, we will: widen the lanes and shoulders of the highway; close dangerous intersections; build new left and right turn lanes; level and realign the highway to increase motorists sight distance and safety. As part of this project, we have already replaced an old culvert with a new bridge to improve fish passage.

Oak Harbor: SR 20 - Libbey Road to Sidney Street, Realignment and Widening
We will reconstruct the Arnold Road intersection by moving the intersection away from the hillside. The east leg of the Arnold Road intersection will be realigned to improve the intersection angle. In addition, utility poles will be relocated away from the highway, and trees and other roadside obstructions will be removed to create a "clear zone" in case vehicles run off the road.

Rockport: SR 20 Red Cabin Creek alignment/bridge construction
This project will realign Red Cabin Creek and build a bridge over the creek. This bridge will replace an existing culvert to improve fish passage and reduce the need for annual dredging.

State Route 539
Lynden: SR 539 - Ten Mile Road to Badger Road
We will widen the Guide Meridian from two lanes to four from Ten Mile Road to Lynden, transforming the roadway from a narrow two-lane highway with minimal shoulders into a four-lane highway with wide shoulders. We will build four roundabouts at key intersections to help keep traffic moving. This will relieve congestion and improve traffic flow and motorists safety. This project is funded by the Washington State Legislature 2003 Transportation Funding Package

Mt. Baker Highway: SR 542 - Bruce Creek Culvert Replacement and Realignment
We will replace a culvert at Bruce Creek and remove a fish barrier at Baptist Camp Creek. This project will reduce the risk of water and debris overwhelming the current Bruce Creek culvert and improve fish passage at Baptist Camp Creek.
