GIG HARBOR – Several new signs will be installed on eastbound SR 16 on Friday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 10 between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. The 36th St on-ramp in Gig Harbor and the HOV lane between Olympic Drive and the toll plaza will be closed each of these nights to allow work crews to install the new signs. Traffic will be diverted from the 36th St. on-ramp to Olympic Drive during the closures.

These signs are designed to further clarify that non-Good To Go! drivers must exit at the toll plaza to pay cash tolls. The signs include messages that pre-paid passes are required to use the three electronic toll lanes and the 24th St on-ramp. They do not change any of rules or processes related to the toll system, but are simply a means to inform drivers who may not be familiar with the SR 16 corridor.
