OCEAN PARK – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will host a public open house on March 23, 2006 to introduce a new project in Pacific County that will add a pedestrian path from R Street in Ocean Park to Sandridge Road along State Route 103.

                            Thursday, March 23, 2006
                       6 p.m. - 8 p.m. (stop by anytime)
Pacific County Fire Station District #1
26109 Ridge Avenue, Ocean Park, WA

The purpose of this project is to improve pedestrian safety through the community of Ocean Park. In recent years the community has experienced several accidents along this stretch of roadway, and this project will help to address safety issues along this stretch of State Route 103.

At the open house, the public will be able to view displays and talk to project staff about the project. Feedback about the project in general, other concerns and suggestions are also welcome. There will be no formal presentations, so the public is welcome to stop by anytime between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.

For more information about this project, please contact WSDOT’s Kelso Area Engineering Office by phone (800-545-1393), or by e-mail (harrisp@wsdot.wa.gov).
