GPS Training Courses

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is the latest technological development in mapping, surveying and data collection. The Transportation Data Office (TDO) has been using GPS technology to gather roadway inventory information since 1997. Currently we are teamed with Geographic Services to collect the most accurate centerline data to update the State Basemap.

The TDO is sharing its knowledge in GPS mapping and data collection by offering the GPS Mapping Grade Equipment Training Program. The training program has been expanded to include a one or two day introductory course and a two day advanced course. These courses are listed under Training Courses below.

The TDO GPS Inventory Trainer is also available to assist in the development of GPS applications and to assist other state, county, and local agencies in training or development of GPS applications.
