Abstract:
Lakes and waterbodies in Washington that may be exempt from stormwater flow controls.
Data set does not include a spatial representation of the Puget Sound or the Pacific Ocean but these water bodies are exempt.
Purpose:
This file is one of three resultant files after performing the analysis described in Phases I and II to determine which waterbodies in Washington may be exempt from stormwater flow control requirements.
Supplemental Information:
Developed as part of an analysis to determine which Washington streams or waterbodies may be exempted from stormwater flow control for the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Phases I and II of the project consisted of a position paper and workshop describing a methodology for determining which streams may be exempted from stormwater flow control by looking at a combination of drainage area, cumulative changes in watershed vegetative cover, and percent impervious area.
