Process Description:
The Intergraph design file was converted to an Arc/Info coverage using Arc command "IGDSARC." The
resulting coverage was transformed to geographic coordinates with Arc commands "PROJECTDEFINE" and "PROJECT." Polygon topology was defined with Arc command "BUILD." The data set was saved as a shape file in ArcView 3.0a, and lake name attributes were added to the shape file attribute table.

The standard distribution compact disc contains all geospatial data sets created by the Washington State Dept. of Transportation. Refer to the included Geodata.txt text file for a brief description of the directory structure.
Data formats vary--most data are stored as ESRI shape files, but some data models require coverages. There are also dbf-format tables of data located by geographic coordinates or State Route Accumulated Route Mileage.
