Livable Communities: 
WSDOT is helping to create more livable communities by:

• informing and changing the transportation conversation
• working with interested communities directly to integrate land use and transportation, and
• improving transportation designs based on what works.

We provide planning and preliminary design services to local agencies and other transportation partners, and raise awareness about the important links between community transportation, land use, revitalization, and sustainability.
