How Visitors can Pay the Toll

Short Term Account
Drivers can set up a Short Term Account within 72 hours of using the SR 520 Bridge or Tacoma Narrows Bridge to save 50 cents off the Pay By Mail toll rate for each crossing.

Short Term Accounts don’t require a pass or pre-paid amount. Just register the vehicle license plate and your tolls will be charged directly to your credit or debit card. Use the account for up to 14 days and then it automatically closes.

Open a Short Term Account online, by calling 1-866-936-8246 or at a customer service center.

Pay By Plate - Add a visitor to an existing Good To Go! account
An existing Good To Go! customer can temporarily add their visitor’s license plate to their account without installing a pass. Vehicles without a pass will be charged the Good To Go! pass toll rate plus an extra 25 cents fee per toll transaction.

How Pay By Plate works: existing customers can log into your online account or call customer service to add a vehicle’s license plate, make and model to a Good To Go! account.

Pay By Mail
With Pay By Mail you’ll travel now and pay later. When crossing the SR 520 Bridge or Tacoma Narrows Bridge, without Good To Go! account, we’ll send a bill in the mail to the registered owner of the vehicle at a higher toll rate.

To use the SR 167 HOT lanes, solo drivers must open an account and install a Good To Go! pass in their vehicle. Pay By Plate, Short Term Account and Pay By Mail are not available.

Out of State Drivers

Out of State Drivers
Drivers with license plates from out of state can set up a Good To Go! account or choose to receive a bill in the mail. WSDOT has reciprocal agreements with other states to identify the owners of out-of-state vehicles and will send them toll bills.

Frequent Drivers
Frequent drivers should set up a Good To Go! account to pay the lowest toll rate.

Rental Cars

Each rental car agency has different policies surrounding how they process tolls or pass them along to their customers, so we encourage drivers to check with their rental agency before incurring tolls. A rental agency’s terms and conditions generally include information on whether any tolls incurred while driving a rental vehicle are subject to additional fees or fines. We have no say in how rental agencies pass toll charges on to their customers.

If you are driving a rental car, you can call customer service at 1-866-936-8246 or go online to mygoodtogo.com within 72 hours of crossing the SR 520 or Tacoma Narrows bridges to set up a Short Term Account. Once this account is set up, each day's toll transactions are charged directly to your credit or debit card. The account will automatically close after 14 days. Short Term Account toll rates are 50-cents less than Pay By Mail toll rates.
