All lost & found items on this route are turned into the Fauntleroy Terminal. You can reach the Lost & Found Department at 206-515-3439. Their hours of operation are 10:00am to 6:00pm Thursday thru Monday, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Our Information Agents can also assist you with lost & found inquiries from 7:00am through 5:45pm daily at 206-464-6400 or 1-888-808-7977.

Directions to Fauntleroy from SeaTac Airport
- Keep right on North Exit Dr. towards WA-99 / S. 170th St. / Freeway 518.
- Follow road signs to the freeway. Drive north on WA-99 to enter eastbound on 518.
- You will need to get on I-5 north from 518, which you can find by following the road signs along 518.
- Drive on I-5 North for approximately 11.3 miles to the West Seattle Bridge.
- From I-5 north, take exit 163, turn right onto the ramp towards the West Seattle Bridge.
- Stay on the ramp to go towards Fauntleroy Way.
- You will arrive at the terminal.
Fauntleroy Rideshare Information
Carpool/Vanpools must be ticketed and in line 10 minutes before scheduled sailing time to receive preferential loading. If you are late, you will be loaded on a space available basis at the end of the loading. Car/van pools need to be registered or a recognized HOV with the ferry system HOV program, to receive loading privileges. Passengers traveling in a vanpool or carpool wishing to leave the vehicle and walk on must do so before their ticket is scanned. Fauntleroy Bicycle Information
When traveling on the ferries, bicyclists may bypass the line of vehicle traffic to get onto the ferry dock but must go through a tollbooth. Bicyclists should arrive 20 minutes prior to departure time to be loaded at the beginning of loading. If a bicyclist arrives after vehicle loading has begun, they will be loaded at the end of the load. Please follow the directions of our crew. WSF Fare Discounts
There are several types of discounted fares for customers who commute daily to work, school or who just ride the ferry frequently. Fares can also be discounted based on age. The Fauntleroy Terminal sells fares to two different destinations: Vashon Island and Southworth. These fares are different, even though you start at the same dock.
Fauntleroy/Vashon Discounts
Multi-ride Commuter Cards
Vashon Island multi-ride cards and passes can be used for the Fauntleroy/Vashon, Southworth/Vashon and Point Defiance/Tahlequah routes. Multi-ride products are good for 90 days from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.
The car & driver multi-ride cards contain 10 “round-trip” tickets for a cost of $121.60 That is a 30% savings over the single fare! The 25% “Peak Season” surcharge is not added to the cost of the multi-ride cards, so the savings is even more. When you use the multi-ride cards, you are paying $12.16 for each trip instead of $15.20 or $19.00 in “Peak Season”!
Passenger fares are collected when leaving Fauntleroy only. This multi-ride card contains 10 "round-trip" passenger tickets at a cost of $35.60 That figures out to be $3.56 instead of $4.45 every time you go to the island!
Monthly Passes
There are monthly passes that passengers can purchase for just the ferry and also passes that include the ferry and transit fares. These passes are good for 31 rides for the calendar month of issue. If you ride at least 16 times in the month, the pass is the best way to go.

Puget Passes
These passes, which cover the cost of ferry and transit fares, are sold at the ferry terminal and through Metro Transit. These passes are sold for each calendar month.
The cost of the Vashon Island ferry and Metro’s $2.00 Puget Pass is $129.00 The cost of the Vashon Island ferry and Metro’s $2.50 Puget Pass is $147.00
Disability and Age Based Fares
For passengers who have a disability or have reached the age of 65 years or more, you pay only half of the passenger fare. Your fare will be $2.20 and for the senior or disabled driver & car, your fare is $12.95 or $16.75 during “Peak Season”. If you are a frequent traveler who drives onto the ferry, you can save even more by purchasing the car & driver multi-ride card. When you use the multi-ride product, you are only paying $12.16 for each trip.
For our passengers who are between the ages of 6 and 18, your passenger fare is $3.60, that’s a 20% discount from the regular passenger fare. For passengers in this age group who travel more than 16 times a month, the monthly pass is the way to go or if your child travels at least 10 times in a 90 day period, the passenger multi-ride card will provide a small discount. Children 5 years of age and under ride for free.

Fauntleroy/Southworth multi-ride products and passes can also be used for the Port Townsend/Keystone route. Multi-ride cards are good for 90 days from the date of purchase and are non-refundable.
The car & driver multi-ride card contains 20 one-way tickets for a cost of $146.40. That is a 20% savings over the single fare! The 25% “Peak Season” surcharge is not added to the cost of the multi-ride card, so the savings is even more. When you use the multi-ride product, you are paying $7.32 for each crossing instead of the single purchase price of $9.15 or $11.45 in “Peak Season”!
For passengers, fares are paid westbound from Fauntleroy to Southworth. The passenger multi-ride card contains 10 “round-trip” passenger tickets at a cost of $42.40. That figures out to be $4.24 instead of $5.30 every time you travel from Fauntleroy to Southworth!
Monthly Passes

Vending machines with drinks and snacks are available in the terminal. Food service is provided on board the ferries on this route by CDX. Operating hours Monday - Friday #1 boat 4:30am - 7pm, #2 boat 5:00am - 7pm, #3 boat 5:45am - 7pm. Saturday #1 boat 6:30am - 7:00PM, #2 boat 7am - 6:30pm. Sunday #1 boat-7:00am-7:00pm, #2 boat 8:30am-6:30pm.

Motorcycles at Fauntleroy
Pre-ticketed customers access terminal with HOVs, northbound along Fauntleroy Way, via exit lanes provided no vessel is off-loading. Non-ticketed customers access the terminal traveling southbound along Fauntleroy Way and must stop to purchase fare at tollbooth state in front of vehicle holding lanes. Loading order (Single Destination Sailings) bicycles, motorcycles, then vehicles, they will load late arriving motorcycles as space permits. (Multi-Destination Sailings) Vashon motorcycles are loaded after bicycles and before Vashon vehicles. Southworth motorcycles are loaded after Vashon vehicles and prior to Southworth vehicles. Once onboard, please be sure that you don't park your motorcycle in the yellow striped walkways or block vehicle access.

Trucks at Fauntleroy
WSF requires trucks with a gross vehicle weight of over 80,000 lbs and/or over 8’6” wide to have “travel approval” before crossing any of our routes. Vessels on this route have a limited height clearance and trucks may be loaded out of sequence.
Trucks that have a gross vehicle weight of over 80,000 lbs but are hauling less than 80,000 lbs will need to provide a weight slip.
