You become an international traveler on the Anacortes/Sidney, BC route. From
Anacortes, or from San Juan or Orcas Islands, you can travel to Sidney on
Vancouver Island in Canada. There are transit buses that meet this ferry and take
you on a 45-minute ride to Victoria, located 18 miles away on the southern tip of
the island. During summer months, tourist buses also meet this ferry. Victoria is
also accessible from Seattle on a private passenger-only carrier, and from Port
Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula on an auto/passenger ferry.
