Understanding This Image
Global Position System (GPS) allows Washington State Ferries to know where the
vessels are during the operational day. Vessel Watch will update every three minutes.
Each Blue Arrow represents a boat underway (Moving 1/2 a knot or faster) and its direction
of travel. The Red Circle indicates a boat is Docked or Stopped (Moving 1/2 a
knot or slower). Each Blue Arrow and Red Circle has text that "floats"
along with it, that text is the
name of the Vessel being represented. Read more in the
Vessel Watch FAQ's.
Vessel Watch is dependent on GPS (Global Positioning System) information, which is subject to change without notice.
