These objectives and other events put forward the need to collect new information about WSF customers’ travel patterns, particularly in the south Puget Sound region. The WSF 2003 South Sound Survey was undertaken to collect travel information during the PM hours or second half of the day, targeted to five South Puget Sound routes. The 2003 survey was conducted replicating the procedures and questionnaire of the 1999 system-wide survey, with specific emphasis placed on travel in the peak period between 3 and 7 PM.
