SUBJECT: Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design, 2nd Edition 2011
The AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design, 2nd Edition 2011 shall be used for all WSDOT bridges and structures. The General Notes of all Contract Plans shall call for “AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design, 2nd Edition, 2011.
Background:
The new AASHTO Guide Specifications for LRFD Seismic Bridge Design, 2nd Edition 2011 incorporated most design recommendations of WSDOT BDM Chapter 4. Adopting the new document does not affect our designs. The BDM chapter 4 is being revised to reflect the new guide Specifications.
