BridgeLink™ Overview

BridgeLink™ is an integrated suite of bridge engineering software. BridgeLink™ links together several different bridge engineering software tools into one convenient and easy to use platform.

BridgeLink™ currently supports the following software tools:

  • Barlist™ - Reinforcing steel quantity estimating tool
  • BEToolbox™ - Bridge Engineering Toolbox utility programs
  • PGSplice™ - Precast-Prestressed Spliced Girder Design, Analysis, and Load Rating
  • PGSuper™ - Precast-Prestressed Girder Design, Analysis, and Load Rating
  • TOGA™ - TxDOT Optional Girder Analysis tool
  • XBRate™ - Reinforced Concrete Cross Beam Load Rating

BridgeLink™ is licensed with the Alternate Route Open Source License.

    Features

    Barlist™

Barlist™ is a reinforcing steel quantity estimating tool featuring an Explorer-style interface for managing reinforcement groups and bar records, an interactive bend guide for selecting bend diagrams, and support for third party add-in components.

    BEToolbox™

BEToolbox™ is a Bridge Engineering Toolbox. It contains a collection of utility programs for computing section properties, roadway geometry, prestressed girder stability analysis for lifting and shipping, response spectra generator, and circular column capacity.

    PGSuper™

PGSuper™ is Precast-Prestressed Girder design, analysis, and load rating software. PGSuper™ can be used to design, check, and load rate precast-prestressed girder bridges in accordance with the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification and DOT agency-specific criteria. The flexural design feature computes the number and configuration of prestressing strands and the minimum required concrete release strength. The shear design feature determines the number, size, and spacing of transverse reinforcement for vertical shear, horizontal shear, bursting, and strand confinement. Specification checking evaluates girders for compliance with strength, service, and detailing criteria. Girders are evaluated for stresses and stability during handling and transportation. Temporary prestressing to control camber, improve stability, and reduce concrete release strengths may also be input. The capabilities and constraints of local fabricators have been accounted for in this software product. PGSuper™ has been designed to allow for future expansion and updating as design criteria and user expectations change.

Free online PGSuper training and P2P email support is available at PGSuper.com.

    PGSplice™

PGSplice™ is Precast-Prestressed Spliced Girder design, analysis, and load rating software. PGSplice™ can be used to design, check, and load rate precast-prestressed spliced girder bridges in accordance with the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specification and DOT agency-specific criteria. Analysis is performed with a detailed time-step methodology. Specification checking evaluates girders for compliance with strength, service, and detailing criteria. Girder segments are evaluated for stresses and stability during handling and transportation. Temporary prestressing to control camber, improve stability, and reduce concrete release strengths may also be input. The capabilities and constraints of local fabricators have been accounted for in this software product. PGSplice™ has been designed to allow for future expansion and updating as design criteria and user expectations change.

    XBRate™

XBRate™ is a reinforced concrete cross beam load rating application. XBRate™ can function as a stand alone BridgeLink™ application providing load rating calculations for cross beams for virtually any bridge superstructure type. XBRate™ can also function as an extension to PGSuper™ and PGSplice™ As an extension, pier geometry and reactions are extracted directly from the bridge model and used in the load rating analysis.
