WSDOT is setting out to create a family of bridge engineering software tools. These tools will range from Automation compatible libraries that you can call from productivity tools like spreadsheets to State-of-the-Art software applications like PGSuper. This massive undertaking is called the Alternate Route Project. We've chosen the name Alternate Route because we are going to develop this software using a non-traditional model. Alternate Route software will be Open Source and licensed using the Alternate Route Open Source Licenses.
