consulting firms who wish to be considered for a marketing
research analysis to be done during 1999-2000. Project Description: Scope: This request for Statements of
Interest is subject to RCW 39.19. Criteria for Selection: NOTE: Categories 1, 3 and 5
will be rated on a scale of 1 to 20. Categories 2, 4, 6, 7,
and 8 will be rated on a scale of 1 to 10. The Department encourages
disadvantaged, minority, and women-owned consultant firms to
respond. Participation by Washington State Certified
Disadvantaged, Minority and Women Business Enterprises in
any consultant work awarded under this solicitation will be
credited toward the Department's overall goals. Certifications: Submittal Requirements: The Washington State

SR 20, North Cascades Scenic Highway
Marketing
The project will provide a 12-month analysis of the tourism
industry along the North Cascades Scenic Highway (SR 20 from
Sedro-Woolley to Twisp) and make recommendations for
additional product development and marketing of the scenic
highway corridor.
The project will:
Pursuant to state and federal regulations, a
qualifications-based selection process will be utilized for
these projects. The selection of a consultant(s) will be
evaluated and ranked on the following criteria for each
category of work:
Certifications regarding Debarment, Suspension,
Ineligibility, Voluntary Exclusion, and the Restrictions of
the Use of Federal Funds for Lobbying will be required prior
to Notice to Proceed, in accordance with Section 1352, Title
31, U.S. Code.
